MLK I HAVE A DREAM

MLK: I have a dream

MLK was a black activist in the 1960s, he is famous/well known for his battle/fight against segregation (when Black people and White people were separated and "considered" equal. In his speech, MLK has a dream that one day his nation will be "transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice". MLK is calling out/mentioning "all men are created equal". The sentence comes from the US Constitution as well as the Bible and MLK is using it to gather both Whites and Blacks.

Segregation ended in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act by L.B Johnson
